BIRDS!!!!! YIKES!!!! Parakeets no less. I guess they could do some damage if they wanted to. Very well written and cute! Why are the aves raging. Who upset them? Maybe just for shock value. The ending, I mean. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for shsring

Your use of alliteration effects parakeets pecking away at a cracker or even some fiddle faddle. I like your ending. It snacks of tongue-in-cheek humor. While parakeets are usually delightful, something stirs within as within so many of us. I prefer to read poetry aloud, it is the only way to read it. I enjoyed the sounds in yours. You have some tongue-twisters for the reader who also enjoy that sport. Well written

This speaks about the parakeets from the market place to home, they are now singing in unison at home, so innocent about change in place of living and state of survival; well said, well done. DR ALCREATOR

Nice sound, nice poem, nice picture. I had a parakeet when I was a child. He sang "Skip to Ma Lou." Well, he would recite the words, but he couldn't carry a tune. He recognized the tune, though, and would hop wildly around when my sister played it on the piano.

Aves is Latin for birds but why are the birds angry? And how do they sing in such lovely quartets while being so disgruntled? My favorite line in this was:
"to a humble, huddled prattle;"

If I knew why birds were angry I'd write a book and become a hundredaire.
