I have to lay a 6 on you here for the subject matter and how you presented it and your perfect choice of art. I personally don't understand where the pleasure is in taking the life of any innocents, regardless of who or what they are. Well stated and a standing ovation from me...Dinah

Thank you so much, Dinah, for your wonderful praise of my narrative. The artwork was perfect for what Iwas trying to say. And I truly appreciate the six-star bonus.

This is a sad lament, poor creatures hunted by human kind for sport, your poem is heart renderingly good and I wish I had a six for you, good luck with the contest, love Dolly x

Such a difference between those who kill for sport and others. What do they get from killing? Food has always been the driver but that is not necessary now. Gets interesting when the sport expands to armies. Is the conquest fun or just sport, the dying young be damned.

This is an excellent quatrain poem and entry for the contest
with excellent rhyme and meter.
It has a Frost-like feel to it in the theme
of one man opposed the old habits of many.
The last line is a bit hard, it seems there was little else
that could be done.
Best wishes in the contest

Writer this is a very well written poem and the rhythm is so well put together. Desribing the ploy of the farmer's quest to protect wildlife vs killing them. I wish you much success in the contest.
