Too bad her husband wasn't one of the survivors, the poor headless fellow! I( love the play on words and the odd art that does, indeed remind me of a praying mantis. Nice one!

Well, Bill, this poor mantis caught ptsd or pmsd, post mantis stress disorder. Where was this little mantis found to catch such a disease? Anyway, a very clever 5-7-5 in the mantis world, and now he is struggling to survive. All lines have the correct syllables. Enjoyed.

    It would actually be the survivors of a praying mantis attack who would develop this probl3m. The mantis sleeps like a baby.

Cool picture. I guess every creature has the potential for some kind of stress disorder. Good P- and S- alliteration and that last line "survivor's struggle" is a serious problem for many.

Hahahah, Bill, this is so cleverly written. You should have entered it in the 5=7=5 completion. Yeah, it is seriously good. You are just so good with words. All the best. Ulla:)))

Ha-ha, lol You are just so funny, Bill. A very silly and clever 5-7-5 poem.
You should have entered it in a 5-7-5 contest. Nice one:))) ~Kerry

Haaaaaaa, another disorder to get all worried about. This PMSD sounds like the worst of all and when you actually witness this master of the universe dispatch his enemies, you can see the anxiety is not unfounded.

A most entertaining post, Bill. I laughed.

Run for your life! He is back and he's heading this way! Oh my God he looks pissed, what are we gonna do? Quick everybody let's pray that he doesn't come this way! Wait. Never mind, it was just my imagination again, sorry folks.

    Most insects who survive an encounter with praying mantis die within a week (as they would have anyway)

    Wait. How do you know so much about insects. Are you a closeted teacher?

Hi, Bill;

I love your new disorder. I think flies could relate to this well, but I have to wonder how many of them actually escape and experience PMSD. Well done, as always,

I hope you are planning to put all of your critters in a book. It would be quite colorful. While I can't get too concerned about a praying mantis's PMSD, it must be a big issue with mantises. The survivor's struggle is an apt conclusion. Any species has that struggle. Nice alliteration in the words. judi
