You describe the antics of these lovable cartoon characters so well. Great use of onomatopoeia. The question at the end had me thinking how cartoons have changed and not for the better.

Thank you for introducing me to the 9X9 form and adding the clever cartoon. I enjoyed your playful "nickel" analogy and use of sound. Enjoy the first Sunday of summer- Joan

I'm not sure where they are either, but I wish they were back on TV. Cartoons were so much better when they weren't educational or "p.c."

I love Roadrunner and Wiley Coyote. Those were entertaining cartoons. I do have to say I admire that the coyote never gave up, even though we all knew he couldn't win. That roadrunner certainly was crafty to outwit him every time.

I like your nine syllables and nine lines. It is a creative and enjoyable read.

Bill this is Brilliant. I like the exact wording. They fit perfectly, expressing the chase that I always enjoy seeing. Although I felt sorry for the coyote, I thought the roadrunner was too cool.

Poor little coyote, just doesn't have the stopping power as the roadrunner. I wonder about the comparison of the brain and who has the smarter judgement skills or maybe I should say survivor skills. You are always so clever when it comes to interesting subjects in your writings. I enjoyed the read!

It was a fun strategy to bring in those cartoon sounds like Ka-Pow! A lot of people love chase scenes, although I'm not fond of them. Young people today want even more excitement that those Warner Brothers characters provided. Excellent rhyme and flow in this. Everything works well. judi

there is little doubt, the chase continues apace, the coyote continues to lose this race. What a schmuck, always out of luck, spends his hard earned bucks, Gadgets never work, his schemes always backfire, he needs to find an expert bird assassin for hire.

-I really like the artwork and poem, Bill.
-It is nice to see humor on FS, and roadrunner
is a great character to use!
-I like the rhyme, vivid examples, as well
as the inclusion of the cartoon expression.
-The last line is a good ending, too.
