It rhymed and was easy on the eye. I'm new to poetry, but it seemed to flow given the definition below for entries. Good luck with this in the contest.

Thank you for the great review, Jon. Yeah, these short ones aren't a very good example of poetry, to me. They have all different kinds of contests on here. I just like joining them, lol. Just so you know, the going rate for reviews on here is usually 5 stars. 4 stars are for if the piece needs work, grammar, commas, spelling, stuff like that. Some folks get a little huffy if they get a 4 star that doesn't offer something for improvement. Just filling you in, seeing as how you're new. Welcome to the site. You can learn a lot here.
