Despite the fact that this story is short, it is still gripping. I enjoyed your descriptions of the storm, and could almost feel the chill of the character. Well done.

What a well written piece this is. You took this reader right predicament. It was like being with you there.

what an experience. I can certainly understood your fear of snow now. Hopefully, someday, that will fade, and you can enjoy it once more.

It?s pretty much gone now. The ironic thing was his next assignment was to Upper Penninsular of Michigan where there are HUGE snowdrifts and heavy snow fall! Thanks for your thoughtful review,

my Grandpa always said go prepared if you are driving, keep extra clothing and covers in the car and snacks for the munching. you never know when you will break down.

That?s what I used to tell the kids. But at that time I did not have a car, and it was worse because of the open fields around the flight line.Back then, England didn?t get much snow. I really appreciate your review - the stars are still winking!,,

Always dress in layers in the winter time you can always remove some but you can't always put them back on.

Your story is moving and beautiful. Isn't it wonderful when a kind soul is willing to truly give and not ask anything in return? Indeed God was looking out for you that night. Your story is very well written.

Welcome to my FS patch! You gave me an outstanding review, which warmed my heart. Yes, I was very lucky to not get frostbite, or hypothermia, God and a guardian angel saved me

This memoir account of that crazy, wintry night inEngland send chills up my spine as I read it. Anyone who has been trapped in the snow knows that the danger, no matter where you are, is real, and one needs to get out of that situation before permanent damage can occur. A harrowing story for sure.

Hi Bill, yes I was very scared that night. Back in the States I really warned the sons to be prepared once they drove. It?s the wind chill that?s most dangerous.I really appreciated your review. Have a great week.

I enjoyed this little reminiscence of being caught in a storm, and I think you captured that feeling of underestimating the storm and being overwhelmed by it, as you already started and have to get through. Good details set the scene and put us with you on the snowy road. There is a nice touch in finding the kind stranger, the guardian angel, to give you the soup and the respite to gather strength and complete the journey. These little miracles make up so much in life, and I believe they are answers to our prayers from God. Overall, nicely done. estory

Thanks for your complimentary review. Yes, I do believe in guardian angels, I could have died from frostbite with hypothermia, God sent one at a crucial time. Thanks for your very complimentary review.

Wow ..you could have died...I'm appalled that your friends let you walk in that without heavy gear...yikes yikes yikes...nothing like warm soup when you are chilled to the bone.
I think you have snow-phobia...now...is there an actual phobia for that?
God bless
