I give you this rating because your post is fun, author. I know kids and think this is real. I have been grappling with punctuation when I write dialogue and have received various advice. Wondering where you are coming from on this issue. Best, RFL

If you mean quotation marks, I used different colored fonts to show the different speakers. Thank you for reviewing. I'm glad you thought it was fun.

Loved the last line - it's funny how kids can be so honest even when they're misbehaving. I'm sure this one will ring true to teachers and parents alike.

Good luck in the contest.

It's a true story. Children are so literal. They say just what they mean. Thank you, Mark, for reviewing this.

Beautiful. I think I recall something like this when I was in grade school. The entire conversation was on-point when it comes to teacher/student conversation. Witty and humorous ending. The entirety of this piece brings me back. Thank you for the long chuckle :)

Hello there, mystery writer

I enjoyed the simplicity of this story that focuses on the trivialities of children.

Love the humour as both the kids forget what's what n why's why n who's done what.

Great little punch [excuse the pun] at the end.

I wish you all the best in the contest

kind regards

trimple

Thank you, Trimple. Children often forget why they're mad at each other. They're so literal in their explanations, too.

Indeed they are, my friend, indeed they are...
