My favorite Rodin is the Thinker. He truly is great but my favorite sculpture of all time is Michelangelo's Pieta....I absolutely want to see that beautiful work

A very well-written love poem and the statue of the kiss is an excellent pose for lovers to kiss. In the name of art it is a beautiful statue of two lovers for everyone to look at.

This poem is so much of a work of love, and about love, it lifted my spirts. Like buildings, there is an architecture to love, where two people fit so well together they feel they will never part. I sometimes wonder what people's lives are like that have never had this experience, this interaction. Myself, I feel very lucky that I've had such feelings for another and have always appreciated it. Best wishes.

Tony, I really like your quite believable conceit of those real life lovers turned on by the statue.
On the other hand, I don't agree with that buildings analogy, but who am I to take issue with Rodin?

I had that Statue in my Garden but eventually it was tipped over and destroyed. It was a two foot concrete statue not a huge one. I found it at a garage sale. Some kids tried to steal it on my birthday in 1982 but it was too heavy and they had to give it up. Well written Love Poem Tony. Tough contest. Good luck, Nancy

I love the POV of this one - the poet observing lovers who are, in turn, observing Rodin's sculpture. I like that they are a little bit bashful (as I would surely be if I were on a date observing this) in the presence of such an explicit image, but that they eventually "osculate" (great word) "in resonance".
The language soars throughout this one, rising to meet the classical bar set by the sculpture. The sonnet form seems a natural choice for such high art. Absolutely worthy of my last six!
