Really enjoyed the read, though it was the first chapter I caught, it took me right into the story. I like the way it flowed and there were no writing errors that I could see. I like also the way it ends making one wonder what happens next.

That Sam is quite the character... He seems to enjoy getting himself into trouble, and then winning over the situation. LOL what will he be up to next? Poor Scruffles seems to have gotten the bad end of the stick in this, just minding your own business... And gets a little bit a water splattered on her, I really enjoyed this chapter,

Thank you for sharing. A forest adventure is quite entertaining, as authors from C.S. Lewis to Erin Hunter could attest. I may have to catch up on the beginning sections of this story.

Thank you for your enthusiastic review. I'm so glad you are enjoying the story. My message would be more complete if you did check out the other previous chapters. If none other, reading the 1st chap will give you the meaning of the exercises and you can get a sense of Bea's simple spirituality by reading The Dance. Thank you.

Well, Bea seems to be very productive and resourceful little bear. Seems like she has devised a solution that most children reading this story can relate to but it doesn't sound like it will work in the future other than the surprise effect since the cat likes water.

Hilarious, Liz!! :) :) Went back and did a little 'prior reading', too, although your notes are very helpful for those of us 'just tuning in' -- LOL! :) A fun little story that you have going here -- love the little honey pots -- got a great visual on that action! :) :) Thanx for the smile today and thank you for sharing ! :)

Thank you for your delightful review. I'm glad you're enjoying it. It's actually quite autobiographical. My stage name is Bea the wee bear. Sweet Puppy is my 16 year old dog, yet to be introduced. And Scruffles passed about 13 years ago. I'm sure he's proud to be famous.

Bea later found out the Scruffles loved water. He was not afraid to stand over a slightly frozen puddle and attempt to crack it open to get to the water. He would be so focused on this exercise that he didn't seem to care if he became covered with about a half an inch of snow.; That part melted my heart :) It reminded me of my own little cat. The cat looks like a sphynx breed is that right? Anyway a fabulous write much enjoyed love Meia xx

Thank you for your reflective review. I'm glad it touched you. That is one of my intents along with bringing healing. He was a Maine Coon who passed about 13 years ago. He loved water & I have the best pics of him totally covered with snow chipping away at the icy water in a shallow birdbath on the back deck.

I really liked this, even though I know I'm coming into the middle of your story. What kind of creature is Bea? She must be small if she has to run for her life from that feral cat. I enjoyed your style of writing which does seem to be the way a wee animal would write :))

Bea is a wee bear. Although she doesn't think she's wee because she was bullied by mean bears about her size when she was younger, thus all of the exercises. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for your appreciative review.

Hi Liz. This is the first I have read of this adventure. I assume the main character is a bear? I had an orange female cat. They have a reputation for being feisty. She sure was. She did exactly what you describe. She would bite and scratch my calves and draw blood. I almost got rid of her but decided to ignore her and get another cat. Thank you for sharing

Thank you for your extended review. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Both my cat Scruffles and I were held hostage by two neighbor cats which were quite feral due to their lack of care. I'm glad you found a solution.

Dear Liz-Sounds like you don't need a television or movies for entertainment! What could be more fun than watching the antics of our furry, four legged friends! Usually a splash of water would work well!

Well, this post gives me an idea of just how wee Bea is! Too bad Bea didn't holler "Go away" as she threw the water! You write very precise descriptions of the characters and the action.
Good job!

Thank you for your fun review. I'm glad you're enjoying it. Scruffles and I did get held hostage on my back deck by two neighbor cats which acted feral due to their lack of care.

Feral cats are indeed scary! Glad they are gone now.
