I love that picture. Did you adjust the color on your computer? Autumn is almost always depicted with orange and yellow. The recognition of autumn red here truly makes this a red carpet affair both in color and in celebratory splendor.

Gorgeous little poem about the arrival of autum in all its glory and shining crimson beauty. I love how you turned it into a spectacular occasion by saying 'red carpet affair' because the leaves do carpet the floor in a very grandiose way and it's simply stunning. Love the image chosen as well.

Although this is entered as a 5-7-5 it is, as far as I can see a full blooded haiku. The subject is nature, it is seasonal and follows the grammatical rules of the form. Further,more the final line is an excellent satori offering a different and enlightened view of events earlier described. Very nice indeed.
