Love it! Know it's one of the Haiku's not mechanically made in the English tradition of 5-7-5, but it certainly is three lines in stark appreciation of nature's beauty...how great that it fit 'write in' with your current collection!! :) Thanx for sharing and good luck in the contest!! :) :) Yvette :)

Ok, hopefully you've got this poodle kick out of your system and can get back to Baker's Dozen. Not being a poetry guy I don't know if this is a Haiku or not, but Ill take your word for it. Good luck in the contest!

That was an excellent Haiku. I loved the 'sheepishly shy' lovely alliteration in that line and followed in the next line with, 'sheared' delight. Excellent imagery with all the lines. Well done and good luck in the contest. :) Sandra xx

Hi Bill. This is very cute. I notice a pattern. You like to use words in unique ways. But I was told by Jim who is the instructor on this site that it has to mention one of the seasons. So, I always include one. But, I love your poem regardless. Also a transitory verb from the first line to the second. Maybe the committee does not expect that. Good luck in the contest. Thank you for sharing
