Hi Tony,
This is an eloquent and enthralling write as the mix of fantasy and reality drives the story forward.
There is still an element of mystery which draws me on to read the next chapter.

Love the Helen character, flirty, sad, with much hidden hurt but also such fun. You tease us by almost telling her story but not quite.
Really enjoying this story,
cheers.

Hi, Tony,

This story continues to tantalize me. I love the lighthearted conversations between the two main characters and the secondary storyline of the related story they are following.

Sinfully delicious as this couple winds their way through Europe.

Thank you for sharing and I look forward to more,

~MP~

Another well executed installment, TFawcus. Grammatics are perfect, language was clean and content desirable, the dialogue was fresh and helped me to get to know the characters a bit better...all in all, another excellent chapter. I'm glad I stumbled upon this. I found no errors. The story is unique and inviting and I look forward to reading more in the future. Excellent presentation by the way- font made it easy to follow - and image, well...it was perfect, too!

Hi Tony, I'm glad I waited to give you a review, so I could give a six, which it so well deserves. It's not only very good story telling but it's also very well written. Wonderfully naughty as well. I love it. I'm looking forward to what's next. All the best. Ulla:)))

Thanks both for the supportive review and the six stars. Glad you're enjoying the occasional slightly risque dialogue!

I like the bit of lurid history you tuck in this story. Humorous dialogue with the receptionist who thought Helen was his niece. How nice that the menu decision was left up to the chef.

Very many thanks, Diana, for another lovely six-star review. Your enthusiasm ensures that I keep going when I might otherwise allow this to join a plethora of other unfinished projects!

I've been in and out Tony, so good to read.
As I read through this, good to keep a balance staying in tune with the now narrative. One has to be careful when filling out, not to go too long into the history of historic events or it may seem like a lesson in parts. Yet, In all fairness, I see the importance of it, as it gives an insight to both characters and character of the write itself.

A good holding chapter here. I found the best parts are in the dialogues, not to mention your beautiful writing style.

My best wishes.

Thank you, Roy. The balance between action and background is always a delicate one, and particularly so here, where much of the action occurs in the parallel story being narrated by Helen. I have boxed myself into a corner a bit by making the author one of the characters!

I don't have six stars left but this story deserves many of them. I am beginning to like the free spirit in Helen more and more. At first I thought it was a bit much but no, it's perfect.

Thanks, Barbara. I appreciate the thought of an extra star! The gradual development of Helen's character and of her story seems to be displacing the original quest to some extent, but perhaps we will find a common thread in due course!

The exotic swirls around this couple in a whirlwind, seducing the senses and lending the air of romance. This couple seems to play cat and mouse with each other, teasing and tempting and leaving us with one foot out of the bedroom. estory

I enjoyed reading your review, estory! As is only proper, we have not been granted access to the intimacies of the bedroom - but it does seem that we have an ear to the door, in the best tradition of chambermaids who spice their mundane lives by reading romantic novels!
