This poem speaks to so many emotions. The emotions of not being able to let go and holding on to grief. It can be hard when you are trying to hold on to anything you can so you dont forget someone. You will never forget because no one can take away your memories. Exceptional poem! Thank you for sharing!

Interestingly enough, there was a closet behind the door, everything repairable, used and replaceable were dumped there and his lovable things are there and no one visits the closet for all think his spirit lives there; well said, well done. Keep Writing -- DR ALCREATOR

A very touching tribute poem. You really gave us a piece of your loved one with the description of who he was while he was with us still. I am terribly sorry for the lose of who sounded like a great person. You've done well in remembering him and helping us to feel the loss that you have suffered. That was beautifully written, and so very sad. He was much too young to be called home. I am so sorry for your loss, and can clearly understand why those boxes of bittersweet memories are still in that closet behind that door.
