I love this. Very few words make a great message in this elegant and graceful poem. They convey the very effect of being "spellbound" when we watched those dancers.

They truly were (and always will be!) the best, Donka...no question! :) ;) They were my inspiration for 17 years of performance dance (tap, ballet, and modern from ages 3 thru 20!) and, even now, I do so enjoy just dancing....music gets the heart pumping and the feet moving, sometimes unconsciously! :) :) Thanx for stopping in today, and may you have a wonderful week ahead of musically-inspired daydreams! :) :)

And best wishes in the contest, May Fred and Gene tap on the judges' decisions....

I really love this. It is also why I danced too and am still dancing seventy years later. A brilliant entry for the dance competition.
Good luck and best wishes. Jen.

I love your poem. I was a great fan of Fred and Gene. Your words are perfect. I can see them dancing on tap or soft shoe. That is really cool. Good Job!

This is splendid! Who better to write a poem about when the topic is dance then these two masters of dance! I like your second line and then your third line is clever and I like the liberty you take with punctuation... well done! Great title, great entry! Should do well!

While this poem was descriptive, and I expect I couldn't write anything better myself, it doesn't evoke the emotion that Fred and Gene do. When they dance one is glued to them, not wanting to miss a step! While this poem is very good, I just wish it made me feel the way they do. (I'm sure I couldn't do it!)

What a great little 3-5-3. It hit the mark on creating a sweet little tap dance for this writing prompt/contest. :) A fun entry. I hope you do well. Tap on into a top spot. Good luck!

The two all-time best dancers. This is an excellent entry in the contest. You should do very well in the voting booth. I enter a lot of contests but seldom win. I hope you do better.
