Very nicely done. Your story helps put into perspective, I also come from a family that loves music and dance. I have fond memories of dance and music through my mom whom I lost 2 years ago

This is an excellent poem and entry for the contest.
I believe you have a slight problem in line four,
as I count only four syllables. You could add a word like "her" to get five.
Otherwise, and excellent poem of human emotion.

Thank you for your review. I appreciate and value your comments. I used three syllable counters to check the syllable count of all three lines of the poem. All of them indicate there are three syllables in the word consoles. The addition of the word her would make the syllable count in line two 6.

I used Webster's dictionary and How Many Syllables. But it doesn't matter, if you have a source, stay with it.

I reviewed the syllable count using How Many Syllables and noted the Syllable Rules section on how to count syllables and it appears the syllable count for the word consoles is 2. Thank you for your help in clarifying this matter. I will use this as a resource for all future entries.
