Well constructed tanka which starts with an odd view of beauty and the word "twisted" in the middle is full of extra meaning as it turns to the struggle of those seeking freedom.

I HATE that he goes to Montana and says stuff like that. Well honesty I hate what he says no matter where he goes, and he says the most ridiculous, offensive BS...
Your poem packs more grace and style into the few lines that he's ever spoken in his life. It is indeed a twisted spectacle, in fact everything that has happened since 2016 has been just that. And the groping for votes is so on point. I wish it wasn't so, but you really nailed this one,

Thank you for this splendid six star review. Given the remarks on this site in the past I was surprised that this raised so little interest. It has now just gained recognition at the the same time as the Guy Fawkes poem which has taken half the time to get to the same place. Polling day today then. I wonder where we will be by this time tomorrow.

Since I am on the road again lol, I really just have time to read and enjoy rather than break down. All I can say is that when I see barbwire it sways both ways- they are keeping someone or something in and at the same time they want to keep someone or something out. Great job, thanks for sharing.

LOL you are most welcome. Actually I did a quick review when we stopped, I drive our car behind Jim, the rig and the camper because he is also pulling the company 4 wheeler instead of the car.

Thanks for the review, Bill. I am puzzled. Very few people have commented on the trump quote in my Tanka, and those that have are not Americans. Is it possible that the news media in the US have edited it out.. It was all over our networks.

I have got to hand it to you pantygynt. This is an excellent tanka poem entry. The political poke is subtle yet direct. The pivot middle lines works perfectly in bringing both images of immigrants and insensitive or did I mean ignorant people in power under the same light. A worthy six shower. ~DD
