You managed to make a 'horror' story funny.
The PUTTY knife murders-- I still wonder how difficult the stabbings must have been.
A favorite section (there are so many gems): 'The man pleaded for him to stop, but Sammy wasn't quite finished; then he was.'

This is a short but scary story that shows you that you have to be careful who you move in with. A double murder because of a story deadline shows that this world has some violent people who go too far. Well he got his 15 minutes of fame before he died.

I know it's supposed to be a horror story, but let's face it--this is hilarious! I'm sure I'm not the only one who's considered offing an annoying neighbor or roommate. This guy lived the dream, and used it to get his page 1 story. Love it!

Now, this is a story! Too bad I ran out of my six stars. Nicely done. Quick pace and not too much time wasted on tedious descriptors. Great choice of words to create that sense of annoyance at his roommate. I would have driven anybody up a wall. I don't why, but this story reminds me of 'The Black Cat' by A. Poe. There's no cat, but the guy goes ballistic the same way.
