You've written an excellent 5-7-5 poem and entry for the contest
Books are like frigates, as Emily Dickinson wrote,
or space ships, even time machines
They can take most anywhere
Great picture to match your poem
Well done
Good luck in the contest

Your words capture the joy of reading and how it takes us to other places and times. Excellent short little poem that says much and reminds the reader the importance of reading.

Descriptive and creative. However, I do not read "joy" in this poem, only facts and the vastness, in time and space, of that which books represent.

I do appreciate your honesty- joy can be subjective. As a fan of Dr. Who I enjoy the idea of traveling through different times and space for adventures. But if that doesn?t appeal to you, this poem would be just dry, factual and maybe a bit boring. Thank you for taking the time to to read it.

Your poem and the illustration you chose are magical and enchanting. That is the exciting part of reading, traveling back and forth in time, going places you've never been before, encountering all kinds of personalities and characters.
Beautifully done!
