I think this is a very BEAUTIFUL acrostic poem and very well illustrated. I often walk through the woods myself and think nostalgic thoughts. I love how you put life into your words. Well written.

I found this stunning and sophisticated. I know it isn't a traditional Shakespearean sonnet like you said, but it's still a lovely piece of writing. The words used to describe the autumnal scenery are great- 'all trees white-gold this autumn dawn'.
'Trunks tall as titans clasp pale sky'. Great simile used here, it really takes us to that special place so we can visualise it clearly in our mind and feel how you felt when you were reminiscing about that treasured moment with your loved one. A lovely entry for the acrostic contest. Good luck x

This is such a lovely, bittersweet Acrostic Sonnet. The language is superb and the imagery within the write is so delicate and poignant. Just a tender Sonnet by any standard without the added element of the Acrostic.

The penning is also beautifully displayed. The ending drove it home for me...reminiscent of time doing past. This is an excellent entry. I wish you the best of luck in the contest. It shall fare well :~) totally 6 star worthy in my book.

Personally I like the way that you rearranged the sonnet format to incorporate your acrostic. The sonnet police may come after you but I loved it. Don and Vicki.

I loved it! The story is just lovely. The picture certainly doesn't hurt. A beautiful Acrostic about a lovely fall day with a nostalgic turn. It doesn't get much better than that. ð???

I really enjoyed this acrostic poem. I liked how it was not written in the style of a "true Shakespearian sonnet," because I felt that the careful, measured word choice made each syllable meaningful as well as conveying a quiet, thoughtful beauty--like an autumn forest.

I like your poem very much. It paints a picture for me of you walking the leaf strewn path with, all trees white gold, brisk winds defrock, trunks tall as Titans. Sometimes its hard to reminisce.

Wonderful expression. The sadness is apparent. I loved your comparison of the trees. It was like I was taking a walk along with you during this autumn day. Your writing is very vivid.
