Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

Poor little boy! Absolutely terrified of a demon he cannot see , but only imagines.
The piece is taut and terse, not one unnecessary word but the ones that are there give maximum impact. This is clever writing, as it tells of the effect the child's imagination has on him, rather than his process of thought that led him to this moment of terror. I agree with the author. Leave this part of the Yule tide celebrations out of it altogether. Fear and scarey images have no place in Christmas.
Nice one friend . Well done cheers Cass

Yes, great, insightful review. I had just written a 5 7 5 on the same subject but there was still a bit more to the tale. Cheers, j

Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted

This might qualify as a fifty word horror, fear story.
You've built up the tension quite well with each
paragraph increasing the imagery.
Good luck in the contest

Hah imagine this whimsical writer beating Kush in the horror genre. I could die that day totally fulfilled. Thanks for the encouraging review. Hard to build up terror in 50 words. Actually, I wrote this originally, then figured better close it up. Checked the word count and it was already at 84. Cheers, judester
