Hi Author... This is a great twist on Oklahoma! I love that you pitted the Democrats against the Republicans like the Cowboys and the Farmers. Brilliant analogy. :)

This well-written poem follows its chosen pattern and makes some strong,
timely points about the two major parties. The WALL is part of the most-
yelled battle cry. I feel deeply sorry for the refugees; however, I must add
that I have not contacted authorities and offered to house any of them!
All I know to do is pray about it!

I love the song you picked to write your poem to. This is a fantastic write. You covered ever aspect of our troubles with some humor and in a really interesting poetic form. Every word you speak here is absolute truth and fair in every way. The bottom line is that, despite differences, we need to find a way to get along. Like you say, Democrats should bend a little and Trump should lighten up somehow. It's all about compromise and there doesn't seem to be much of that going on.This is really a brilliant, intelligent piece of work and you show the versatility of poems and what a great poet can do with it.

This is a brilliant entry into the song parody contest! Definitely a winner! For anyone who loves musicals it flows so well with the song. I listened along with the song that was posted on the top of the poem. Very clever and humorous! Cant we all just get along? :)
