A very well-written Rictameter poem about the twilight that is always a magical time of the day betweeb day and night when the day stops and the night begins.

This is an excellent poem--really beautiful. Your descriptions are crystal
clear, and your use of personification enhances the overall effect. One
thing: "Lays" should be "lies."

Comment from Gloria ....
Beautiful artwork and excellent poetry in this Rictameter. I've never thought of winter laying its hand on the Earth's burdened shoulder, but it makes sense now that you say so.
A most enjoyable winter thought and best of luck to you in the booth. :)

Lovely in verse and art. I once wrote a poem about the cold before the dawn. I think this is the coldest time and most calm. Well done. Blessings, Barbara

This gives a sense of stillness and tranquility in nature and its inhabitants. Well conveyed. Winter at rest and inner peace. Lovely art work.

A reflection on the mystique of a winter twilight -so beautiful to read and observe Nature 'half in and half out of darkness'- a time of quietude and such a lovely pic

Comment from Jeffrey L. Michaux
You've set quite the stage with this one. I like how you describe every intricate detail of the scene that you've laid out for us. I like the line "winter's hand lays heavily on burdened shoulders the earth is subdued." Very clever and thought provoking. I commend you on presenting a very well written poem. Well done!

This rictameter does a marvelous job of creating and sustaining ATMOSPHERE. Bookending your poem with "Twilight" definitely helps, but mostly it's your visual imagery--e.g. the contrast of dark shadows on snowy fields and winged night creatures "moving on the edges of twilight."
