Great poem.
Can be read as a winter night scene.
Or metaphorically as the oppression of the natural world.
I read it as the latter as I object to the misuse of the natural earth.

You did an excellent job writing this type of poem. I like how you personified winter. Twilight is an interesting time of day. Hope those winged creatures weren't bats.
