You've written an entertaining valentine poem, Yvonne, but one thing is puzzling (to me, anyway). The verse is easily understandable throughout, except the end of the last line, "...he got you. too." I suggest a little adjustment for clarification is needed for
good luck in the contest!

Ooops! Hit the button before I finished (crazy blonde!)! ;) As I was saying..

Thanx for the suggestion, Don - always appreciate the input any time I can get it! :) :) I did go back and look at it this morning and, except for maybe adding a comma in there after 'you', I think it says exactly what I was hoping. If it's awkward, I guess it'll just have to be that way....I think I'd rather go with 'quirky'. :) :) :) Again, I do so appreciate your thoughts on my 'not so romantic' Valentine write here -- thanx for stopping by! :) Take care and have a wonderful weekend! ;) ;) ;) Yvette

This is absolutely creative and admirable. I love the uniqueness of your idea. Your poem is perfect for valentine's day and I wish you a happy holiday (if you can call it that)

Thanx so much for stopping by for the read and review on this one, Brooklynn -- it's my alternative to the mushiness of the V-day -- LOL! ;) ;) :) Take care out there! ;) ;) Yvette

Hah! Yvette!
Well, clearly Cupid must have known what he was doing for you and your husband and my husband and me as well. We will be married for 40 years this summer. The man is a mathematical/engineering genius. Triathlete. Basketball player. You name the sport, and he has either tried it or continues to do so.... As for yours truly...well, we'll leave that discussion for another day, but suffice it to say we, too, are complete opposites except for the fact that we truly are best friends and love one another without reservation...

Another acrostic, yes? It is wonderful. (Not going to attempt another one of those for a long time... :) ) Love the flow and sentiments!

Best Wishes!

And that there, Lady D, is all that truly matters, yeah? :) ;) And we won't poke you for another acrostic this soon -- lol! ;) :) Thanx so much for stopping by for this one -- always appreciate hearing the smiles you have to pen! ;) ;) Take good care up there and enjoy the weekend -- stay warm! ;) ;) Yvette

Ha h aha ha ...yes...opposites attract they say...what they don't say is can they live together.. My husband and I are from two different cultures...he has said if it weren't for our beliefs we'd be so different...love covers a multitude
God bless
