Ahhhh. Spring! This is a lovely ode to a MUCH-NEEDED season! You nailed it. (Where I live, though, March is the WORST month. There always something Very Big that happens, weather-wise, during March: snowstorm, ice storm, wind storm. So it's nice to read your poem and imagine what lies ahead once that is over!!) Good luck to you in the contest. (I LOVE the photo you chose to accentuate your piece!)

I love the line about grass peeking through and the sense of smell of flowers. The repetition of spring ensures we all know your ode is to spring. You provide good reasons for the homage. I like that you show varying emotions. Enjoyed reading it.

This is a very lovely and well written Ode to Spring. I happen to love all the seasons, but spring is full of so much beauty. It is not usually too hot or too cold either. My favorite part was:
But spring, I love you most, you see.
Such joy and hope you bring to me.
An inner peace makes my soul sing,
just thinking of...
