Why did I have to lose him?4 total reviews

Why indeed! There are so many answers that can be given but none of them can ever justify the loss of a loved one. So many left behind to grieve with unsolved questions. A very poignant poem.

This was a good read. And an unanswerable question. One small nit: I'd think about the last line. It almost reads like you're questioning why you're crying instead of why did he have to die. But that's just my thought.

This is a well-written poem about the life of a military hero, all the lost soldiers. It's well-written, has great word choice which gets your point across nicely. It has a nice even flow and rhymes very well. Good luck with your contest.

This poem, War, brings with it the noble and the hurtful aspects of defending the nation in foreign lands. We honor their sacrifice, but wish the hadn't had to do so.
I found this: No medals (sought)
