Hello Author, Well now that is an interesting take on things isn't it. This is just what I was talking about in my poem Where Monsters Dwell, that I wrote for the monster contest. :)

    It's that old adage of what the Road To Hell is paved with. They MEAN well, wanting you to always be your best, but it comes with such a backdraft!

I had to look up the contest to get an idea of what the prompt was calling for, and I am still not sure...excellent pep talk that borders on hyperbole.
I remember when Captain whatsisname looked like that...

Good entry for the contest. The white background on red is very distracting so you may want to evaluate other colors. No edits or adjustments necessary.

This acrostic poem, How to Raise an Over-Achiever, follows the vertical theme SAXMAN and lays out some life rules which limit the family member to greatness.

Wow! I had to do a doubletake with this one. Children need encouragement, but an unreasonable expectation of perfection can cause the opposite of what's desired. So I believe this poem excellent in making one ponder. Reminds me of the latest news about parents paying for test scores undeserved.

This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.
The highest and the lowest rating are not included in calculations.
