You do have to wonder about some characters and how their mind operates. Human beings are so very diverse, aren't they? Not just coming in all shapes and sizes but having all sorts of mindsets as well. Good luck in the contest.

Interesting writing as a commentary on the battle between darkness and light. Since you asked for input, from my perspective, God has been the only one powerful enough to overcome dark impulses that are a part of human nature. I believe it's a struggle that we all have to deal with and only win the battle with God's help. Thanks for sharing! Bill

Interesting writing as a commentary on the battle between darkness and light. An interesting reflection in this flash fiction entry, Sandra. The battle between light and dark, between good and evil, is a constant one. Some reach a breaking point sooner that others. It seems that having a strong faith in something and a strong self-concept determine who holds out the longest.

Thank you for your review and rating. I agree with you about a strong faith in something. Working as a Hospice Nurse I see this everyday. The ones with a strong faith in something have a peaceful easy death, while those that have no belief or faith in anything fight the whole way. Thank you for reading.
