A very well-written poem about love and an experience of the spirit leaving the body to look down on our natural bodies and lives. I did not have any of these experiences myself but I heard from others who it also happened to.

This is an interesting poem and especially if you are not emotionally unwell. I had a similar experience many years ago whilst suffering from depression. My psychiatrist explained that it occurs when the mind is too unwell to deal with the prevalent issues, we appear to be outside our body, in my case I was standing to the left of my body. It's the minds way of protecting itself from harmful thoughts.... or you just had an out of body experience for no known reason. But you were unharmed. PM

I have heard of these out of body experiences that some people have and as long as you can get back into your body then I expect they are harmless and yours seems like a positive loving incident, well described and I felt I was floating with you here, love Dolly x

This is beautiful; to think that you can be so moved to fly right out of your body with love. Your poem flows well and takes the reader along with the writer to seek an answer to your strange experience, and then realising that the answer is close at hand, resting her head on your shoulder.
