Love it. My whole life as a child at the Saturday matinee movies flashed before me :-) This is a testament to meter doesn't matter. The AABB rhyme is solid throughout and the end result is so entertaining - DJ

Joh Wayne's. Not sure why 150 characters either, I think its ludicrous on short poems that only use 17 syllables, I appreciate you taking the time to read and review my work

Good tribute to these characters, and especially the horses that made them famous. Well crafted poem also presents what most motion pictures today lack, a real good sidekick. Good entry for this contest.

This certainly deserves six stars which I have already uses. This is not only
good rhyme, but it brings back memories of my youth. The photograph of the Duke sets off the whole poem. I met and shook hands with the Duke,
what a thrill that was.
