You paint a picture that can be seen in the mind. I can see this family with all of their belongings traveling across the land with hopes, dreams, and a lot of excitement. I enjoyed reading this well written tale. Well done!

I really like this poem, the rhyme is very good. One thing I would suggest is to bring all of the story under the picture and center it. It would read a lot better.

A nice simple story.
All the stanzas rhyme abab except stanza 1-it is abcb.
Something more dramatic is needed, I think--maybe a description if the dangers, or a sense of how the gamiky feels to be settled in their new home. Just a thought.
I like the idea of seeding and then putting down roots.
