As an initial comment, that is a real family. It is hard, but easy, to overlook the family foibles and celebrations. It is impossible to overlook the family and I would be concerned about someone that would or could. It is a very nice story and I like it. Family is the only thing we can discuss negatively and positively in the same sentence.
