This had me going. The twist at the end came out of nowhere. This very well could have been about my dog, who nudges everyone's hand for attention, begs shamelessly, and has long silky hair. A well crafted story!

Why, I think it DOES sound like your dog, Carla!!
Thanks for the terrific review. I appreciate it. xo

I think that you've got a "wiener" here, Rachelle. You had me going from word one. Your only hint as to what was going on was your "nudge" comment. But that went right over my head because I was absorbed in the story. And it is exactly 50 words. How did you do that? You did not waste one single word.
I'll be shocked if you don't win. this is really perfect.

Ohhh, come onnnn, Debbie; "you've got a wiener here"? You have NO shame. (But you did give me a laugh...)
Glad you were tricked right from the start. Mission accomplished! Thanks for the cute review. xo

Hope you win.

I came in third, so I was happy. My friend, Judester, won with her piece entitled "Enough" which was EXCELLENT! She definitely deserved the win. Thank you for your encouragement, though. xo

Yay we win. This one was clever and funny, you had me until the end. Cause I know models don't eat no cocktail wieners. Bravo you. Cheers, j

HAHAHAHAH!!! You're too smart for the room, Woman! xo

LOLOL!
You really had my imagination primed and going, only to slap it to me with the deserved canine finale.
And, that's what I get.
Love the picture choice, and the sneaky, (albeit, creative) way you set your readers up.
Just the laugh I was needing ... best of luck in the contest! ~ Richard : )

You are sincerely welcome, Rachelle. : )
I thank you, as-well, for sharing.

Ha - a great ending to what begins as another "romantic" attraction story. Good job. And good luck in the 50 word story contest. It is hard to write that short, isn't it.?

If I led that naughty mind of yours astray, William, please forgive me...
and thank you for the fun review!

Our canine companions and spicy foods do not mix well.
Unless you wanna be cleaning up one big mess after another, you'll keep your doggie away from the spicy stuff.
Heck, cocktail wieners even give me heartburn and indigestion. Combine those with mixed drinks and beer and you have a recipe for disaster!
Best wishes to you in the writing prompt.

Whoa! This guy in the video definitely looks as if he's had something spicy!! (though hopefully nothing alcoholic like his creative master/videographer!)
Thanks for the fun review!

My pleasure, Rachelle.

I think the 'you' in this story is a little silky terrier, and certainly no spicy foods for him. Entertaining little 50 word story, and good luck in the contest.
cheers.

Unless we are talking a twilight zone kinky relationship you have taken your canine associate to a gathering, which makes this an excellent flash with just the right twist at the end...

I get it, or at least I think I do. The first few times I read through it I was lost. I thought it was about a girl, then at the end it just did not make sense.
So I reread it slowly one last time and then, poof, it hit like a bullet from a gun....it's a dog.
That's great, it's funny and it makes you think about things beyond the obvious.
Good luck in the contest

That's the beauty of Dribble Fiction - it leads you down one path of thought and then shocks you with a totally different ending. You always go back and see how you were led astray. They're very fun. You should try it next time they offer a contest for it! : )
