OMGsh. . .so intricate. Way more than I would even consider doing. . .so I'll just enjoy the writing. So very nicely done. I do love all the info included. I'm sure I learned those bits of info at one time since I do remember studying the Divine Comedy. . .but I sure don't remember any of it. Nice artwork as well. This is a very beautiful and yet uplifting poem about one of nature's gifts. I also appreciate when a writer puts information specific to the poem in the authors notes. This was most enjoyable a pleasure to read. Best wishes.

That's lovely. I imagine a night timewalk along the lakeshore smelling all the wildflowers. There might be frogs and owls or other little night creatures. Good luck in the contest.

You have delivered a fine entry for the contest. All of the required rules of form have been met beautifully. Your imagery is stunning and evokes a sense of peace and tranquility in the reader. It would have been a six if you had executed enjambment to allow lines to flow and had employed better use of punctuation to cue the reader. I have respectfully made some suggestions below:
Let's watch the silver moon who spills her light,
across the silken surface of the lake.
The shoreline's silhouette--stark black on white.
Let's listen to the stillness at the break
of day, as if, all creatures have to hush
'til sleeping Gaia stirs herself awake.
Then smell the fragrance from each bush,
sweet lilacs' scent and heady lavender,
both overgrown, gone rampant, thick and lush.
A zephyr teases like a courtier,
seducing with caresses, pleasing pets.
Its feathered touch an ardent signature.
Tonight as Luna makes her passage let's,
allow each sense to revel sans regrets.
