I will do my best to be kind, but it won't be easy.
Here goes.
Your poem has plenty of book titles, and it's clear you have learned a lot from reading comic books. You possess the remarkable ability to be unconcerned about your considerable shamelessness. For instance, you obviously will write anything to make a rhyme. I'm sure there are additional examples. I have no doubt you will be able to equal your cleverly titled "I Learned It Reading Comic Books" in future contents.
Good luck!

Pretty good work if you wore it in 20 minutes. I was a comic book fan too but also in secret as comic books were banned in our house also. Great that you continue to read them and good luck in contest!

it covered a number of your favorite comics for sure. You did well with pulling all of the characters together with your choice of words. It was a hard feat to make it all work, but you did.

Could you clarify why you gave me a four star rating.

You're right a out the rhyme so you the the pass. In the next-to-last stanza "gave" should be "gives" since you still read it and Sarge hasn't changed his methods (not giving the pass on grammar too.) Thank you for this entertaining poem.

I liked reading this because I am totally unfamiliar with comics... obviously i know about Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, and superficially about Batman and Superman, but I wasn't allowed to read comics when I was a kid. My parents got me magazines called "Look & Learn" and "Knowledge Magazine", which I enjoyed because they had wonderful illustrations, but I yearned for comics. I guess like you I could read them as an adult, but there is so much else to read too.

I don't read comic books, but I love watching Smallville. My son is a big fun of Spiderman.
I love the last stanza of your poem.
Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

Pretty darn good for being written in 20 minutes! I admit that some of my best poems were dashed out in just a handful of minutes. You don't want to over think it

I have heard of most of these comics and they brought much delight to youngsters years ago, I expect they are hardly read today though, kids have their noses into mobile devices nowadays. I wish you luck with the contest, Love Dolly x

I read comics as a kid. Do they still make them? I don't think I've seen them on the shelves in years. I remember Peanuts and Archie and Blondie. The only comics I've seen lately are in the newspaper and they're not much good. Good luck in the contest.
