Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

This is a beautiful post and I see you won 1st place, but even more than that you have introduced a poem form that I wasn't familiar with until now. I like the flow a lot. You paint a lovely relaxing picture even without the photo from? (there was no photo credit given, so it must be one of your own stock I guess? Mentally though you put me in the place and time that you offer here which was something I truly needed. A long month's journey both June and July were for me. Hopefully, I will find a way to get out of the hammock and get back to it soon. Hugs and love, and always Cheers, Fonda

This is a lovely amphion poem, author. All the guidelines adhered to, and you've created a serene setting that anyone would like to also share part of.

Really nice and best luck to you in the voting booth.

Gloria

I like the lines "Cold, lazy tease/of timid breeze." The first stanza has quite a bit of sibilance with "s" and "ss" sounds all over the place. I think the last stanza needs a few punctuation tweaks:
I lay upon my back and gaze.
Our hammock bed,
enfolds my head--
these peaceful, tranquil, endless days.

A sweet relaxing and lazy amphion poem about a day in summer with nothing to do but enjoy the breeze and the cloudless skies, a fine write with good rhymes and meter, and I wish you luck with the contest, love Dolly x

I have read a lot of poetry in my day but yours is the first Amphion I can ever recall reading. I love summer as well but not when it gets over one hundred degrees.

-Nice, summery image.
-The form is very good,
along with the rhyme.
-The vivid imagery paints
a picture and tells a story.
-You can feel the breeze,
and smell the roses.
-It is a pleasant, peaceful day.
-Good luck in the contest

This is a very peaceful poem with excellent flow. It is relaxing to read it and I wish you the best.

This is my favorite line:
my languid daydreams flit and pass.

Oh, this is a lovely Amphion! I really like how you capture the AMBIENCE of summer days with both your imagery and your rhymes. This poem almost warrants six stars except for your last line. PEACEFUL &TRANQUIL are redundant. What other adjective could you replace one of those words with? Rod

Hi Rod... but a double dose of peaceful is really good, huh? LOL. I will have to think on it... any suggestions are welcome, but this is a contest, I guess I am on my own. :)
