What a fun wander through your clever mind and fascinating shop. A well deserved win for the topic, the creativity and taking a chance on using each and every alliterative, consonance and assonance opportunity with a deft hand that left me smiling this morning. - Wendy

A very well-written abecedarian poem about the store that has everything under the sun, from A - Z mostly treasures that were once someone else's junk. Congratulations on winning the contest.

This is an entertaining Abcedarian poem, but, not only that, your use of alliteration throughout, as well as rhyme shows going above and beyond and working hard to create something special. It is an excellent contest entry! Love the accompanying photo, too. Very best wishes!

I like 'Nothing is overlooked'
I especially like the artwork that compliments this poem.
I read several times to make sure all the alphabets were accounted for.
I like the xyz lines so creative to read out loud.
I like that you entered this writing prompt.
Good luck!

I'm pleased you like my poem. It was fun to write. I think entering these contests is a great way to think up different subjects and try different things. The abc etc was quite challenging.

This meets the contest requirements splendidly as you use each letter of the alphabet in the appropriate sequence. The content is clever as you enumerate a complete shopping list in poetic form. Good luck in the voting and thank you very much for sharing it.

I like this a lot! Only I wish the Panama porn were taken out. My favorite line is "llamas in lavish pajamas, and a nightingale's natty nest" and then unpolished hooves of an unkempt unicorn." Instead of Panama porn to have that rhyme, it could be "Tumbled in a jumble there's tattered books with covers, torn,"
Then it would also qualify as a children's poem, which I thought was part of the point for calling it "Aladdin's" ha ha. I will give it six stars anyway, because it is so close.

Thanks for your comments, Crystie. I would certainly change that line if I were to submit it for children. I put that incongruity in to show that shocking or distasteful things are often in proximity to delightful things in life. I was wondering when someone would comment on that particular item! You have a lovely pure heart. xx

I love to go to garage sales and thrift stores. They can be like mini-museums in that hidden treasures can be found and given new life and appreciation for the history they have gone through. That's a super banner on display and it would sure draw me in. The ABC poems are difficult for me to accomplish well, and yours is stellar. Best wishes in the contest!

(My favorite line is this: I'll just rove around raving, admiring all with rousing cheer.) :-)

You admirably complied with the contest rules and stuck a bunch of letter-alliterations throughout your verse.

Your title is a smash up of a-letter alliterations, but the sign in your illustration is the best!

Good luck in this contest.
