You play on the preserve motif with great effect. It is wise and practical --like preserving fruits is. A reminder of the varied possibilities of language. I wasn't sure what was meant by an educational 5-7-5. A poem about school? Now I get it.

Thanks for your review, Joanna. I wasn't sure what 'educational' was expected to cover either, but I saw that another entry was about carrying water carefully so I figured that education was more wide than schooldays.

Your quote is so true. It's not always good to keep things bottled up inside. But when your canning its necessary to put on the lid and cap it because the product would mold if not eaten right away. Great writing.

As you say, some things are best kept to oneself (put the lid on it), but it is indeed true that damage can be done if things are left to fester by being bottled up.
