What a delightful description of a family picnic you have given us - and then the twist that it is not a human family that march to the picnic. I could relate to this as an Australian - many a picnic when we were kids was interrupted by ants moving in for the feast.

Very funny! I thoroughly enjoyed this poem. The meter and rhymes were well planned. And, of course, the surprise "twist" ending gave me a good laugh.

What a great children's poem! Nice logical progression, good ending, and great imagery and descriptions along the way. You did a nice job setting the table, as it were. The cadence sagged a bit in the middle; the longer the poem, the bigger that challenge becomes. By and large, the rythms were natural as well. Well done!

Very well expressive and lovely picnic poem for kids. I'm sure a few kids will pick up the line about the fifteen of us. Flows well and will diffently keep them amused. Best Wishes and God Bless you.

After all it is their part of the land. We only visit. But cute poem about the "invading ants" who snatched up the food , right out of their little claws. People have such trouble when ants invade their houses - this si a cute poem
