Halloween was so much fun when I was a kid. There was even one house we were all afraid to go to. We were all convinced a kidnapper lived there. Silly, but a bit of a scare is what Halloween's all about. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you for such a nice review..we too had a "haunted" house in our neighborhood. We loved to scare ourselves by running up to touch the abandoned house and running back again. Oh, to be young again. :)

Haha! Oh, how I loved the great rhymes and the ending that makes one wonder.... A very fun poem and one that puts me quickly in the mood for a good scare, a good costume hunt, a good pumpkin carving.

Your sweet story incorporates everything that children like about Halloween. You include pumpkins, ghosts, costumes, being scared, treats, friends, and the house on the hill. Your artwork is wonderfully Halloweenish, but not too scary.

what a great Halloween poem. Love the rhymes and poetic words you wrote. Halloween decorations bring lots of excitement for the trick or treaters besides candy.

This is a scary poem fit for the Halloween Holiday and appropriate for an audience of children. An excellent contest entry. The abcb rhyme scheme works well and the picture is very cute.
