A most challenging feat, which you accomplished brilliantly and with a humorous touch. Six-word flash is indeed a challenge and in my mind, you have indeed followed the requirements. GOOD LUCK

Falling is no joke for seniors. Your little story tells the truth. I've worked in seniors' homes. Sometimes the more frail seniors don't make it through surgery. Mostly they mend.

By Gods Grace my 71 year young bride did well with the surgery Thursday and I pray she will do as well with today?s surgery.

You've done a find job for the Six Word Story contest.
Your story is clear and well told in so few words.
Well done and good luck to you with the contest.

Thank you Sharon, I appreciate kind words. I depend on the reviews to help me gage my word and absorb the input to improve. The contests are nice, but work is seldom considered.

I can relate to this very well. I fall many times and what happens, my bones being brittle, they break. Plaster, traction, total bed rest usually 6 weeks to mend but I have to lie over 8 weeks. Yes, we do have fragile bone-work. Your story in 6 words is awesome. My wishes for your success in the contest.

Falling. A sad subject among those of us who hold onto walls when we pass through a room. Least I do. Don't want those broken bones. Cute short story in so few words.

Ouch. That had to suck. In 6 simple words you have conveyed a pretty powerful scene. I like your use of the word "Kerplunk" - even sounds hard, like it took a couple broken bones just to say it. Well done for the writing prompt. Keep the verses coming. Take care.

I love all of your active and dramatic word choices! It truly helps to make this entry a story. Hopefully this is not based on true events for your sake! Best of luck in the voting =)

this is certainly true. When we are able to get around after a hip fracture we thank our God. Healing does not come easy when your older. To mend our bones take patience and prayer.

That autumn fall can be a defining incident that changes the nature of one's declining years. I like the way you have engineered a happy ending in this case. Everyone likes a happy ending!

I like the message that you expressed with six well chosen words. That is very true, and something that is not looked forward to with fondness. Hope you are doing well!
