This tyburn poem, A Fumbling Fool, has the proper formatting and predicts a future persona that I am now experiencing. It's not as bad as it sounds.

That's reassuring to hear. I'll be there soon enough myself.

Ordinarily, I'd be congratulating you for your second-place finish, Lisa, but not this time.
Your poor poem is unquestionably, and considerably better, than the so-called winner.
With regrets,
Don

Them's the breaks, huh. I thought it was of winnable quality. I value your opinion of my entry... thanks for saying so.

Kudos on your well-crafted Tyburn, Lisa!
But I hardly think you could ever be a "fumbling, stumbling fool!"
I enjoy this poetic form, and you handled it very well!
Thank you!

Thanks Diane. This fate may well be ahead of me! Not for many more years yet, I hope.

LOL This is pretty funny. I like the picture of the little old man is so cute. As a nurse I worked with geriatrics most of my career and things that deal with them catch my eye right away. This is cute. Thanks for sharing.

HA--this is a clever depiction of some effects of old age--but not all! You also chose a cute pic to accompany this fun poem! We all fumble, mumble and stumble at one point in our lives.

Very clever, and this fits the Tyburn form perfectly. This could happen as a person ages. Your ing words are well chosen and you work them in smoothly. Let's hope we won't have those flaws as we grow older. Best of luck in the contest with this smoothly worded entry. judi

Probably. If we live long enough! I guess we're all susceptible to those things. Well written Tyburn poem. Best of luck in the contest with this piece. Marilyn

This tyburn is very skillfully-written and amusing--but with what I take as a serious underlying meaning. Those who haven't got much age on them look at the elderly and think, "Surely I'll never be like that!" Only time will tell!

Too cute - you've fulfilled this contest and made me laugh. Like the humor and the image you chose for art. Excellent job. I wish you well with the contest. I didn't get one of those done, altho I finally did come up with some words.

I'm pleased it made you laugh... life can be so serious sometimes, we have to laugh at ourselves and our predicaments.
