I've never heard of this candy that sounds like a medicine. I'm not sure its something I'd want to try, as i don't even like cough drops. But i do like your poem, and i wish you well in the contest.

when I saw the candy...it reminded me of

When I was growing up, we always kept horehound lozenges for colds and sore throat. Hadn't thought about them in years.
Your stack of 5-7-5's have good rhyme within each one, and have met the requirements very well. Good luck in the contest.

Rounded off to 5 1/2 stars. This tasty quartet is easy to swallow ... for this candy-monger, in any case. This poet has taken a very narrow and challenging topic, and has concocted an appetizing recipe for readers whose sweet-teeth crave gustatory stimulation. More candy, please.

spice -- entice -- ice woks for me,
fuzzy mint lozenge is also a go to choice
