This is so creative and beautifully formatted, dear Diane. I love this windblown Nonet. Your syllable count stayed in place and looks like a splendid entry for the contest,
Best wishes!!

A very well-written Nonet about the first unexpected snow storm that take the last leaves clinging in the limbs to the ground and buried them all underbacwhite blanket of snow.

Hi Diane. This is a superb nonet, with good use of literary devices to create emotive effect, vivid imagery and the shape asked of the form.

I'm particularly fond of the Canadian flag at the end. I've never seen that rendition before and it's quite lovely.

Best of luck to you with the Committee with this gem. :)

    Hello Gloria!
I am honored by your exceptional rating and complimentary review.
I find Nonets to be rather challenging regarding striving to offer a balanced inverted isosceles triangle within the parameters of a correct syllable count and, hopefully, an offering that affords the reader a complete visual/emotive message.

    Thank you!

I really like the imagery that your words ceate in this very well written nonet poem.
'Leaves bravely cling', I love that. I wish you lots of luck in the competition. Best wishes. Jen.

    Hello Jen!
I wrote this offering looking out of our family room windows.
We are under a winter storm warning = twice in four days!
Winter is going to be long this season, I fear!

    Thank you!

This is a beautiful description of an incoming snowstorm. I like the way that you give the tree and leaves a voice. They try to hold on, but alas, are overcome and buried. Your beautiful and descriptive writing make this a pleasure to read. Thanks for sharing this well written offering. Well done and good luck in the contest!

This is a very lovely and skillfully-written nonet. It conveys a moving message about how, with each season, something beautiful is lost, something just as beautiful gained.

    Hello Janice!
    So pleased you enjoyed!
I wrote it while gazing out of our family room's windows!
A winter storm is upon us, and there are far too many leaves still on our maple trees!
    thank you!

I find this well penned correct to format nonet to be very free flowing and pleasant nature theme. The photo-art selection is well complimenting.
Best wishes with this worthy contest entry.

I've forgotten about furs like ermine or fox, all those little animals giving their lives to clothe elegant ladies. A magnificently shaped and moulded nonet to give this entry a very seasonal "feel" to it Di! You've done a great job my friend, good luck, blessings, Roy

    Hello Roy!
Your complimentary review made me smile! I am so pleased you enjoyed my offering! Nonets are a tad bit tricky: form, syllabic count, and hopefully, and coherent message! Whew!
    Thank you!
