Wow, Yvette. The poem is fantastical in its theme and carries the reader along with its beautiful imagery. The artwork is stunning and really enhances the theme of fantasy and dreams. Well done and good luck.

So very glad you enjoyed my 'nerdy nuttiness', Melissa! :) It has been a crazy week round here (see below) and it's good to see your bright, sunshiny smile in the review box this morning -- thanx much for your review as it certainly brings a smile to the tiredness I'm trying to shake this morning!! ;) :) Take care! ;) Yvette
My apologies for running behind this week -- one of our science teachers had to take a leave of absence to care for her mom and I crazily volunteered to review/mark-up the physics & chemistry science project papers for her and meet with students as necessary....what was I thinking??! lol! I am now fully reminded why I ONLY teach mathematics -- I hardly have to think with pure numbers!! :) :)

Taking it as it comes, Yvette. Sometimes we just need to free associate. Life can be a crazy ride. A fellow traveler to love, and to laugh with along the way can make all the difference.

"sparkling key for" - "sparkling key to"

I would lose the punctuation ( except the ellipsis) to enhance the flow.

This was enjoyable and fun to read. Good luck in the contest. And TGIF:-))

Blessings Julia

This is an excellent nonet, my friend. Some of my better poems are written when I am severely sleep-deprived. Sometimes our struggles result in outstanding poetry. Best wishes in the contest, my friend~Debbie

-Very nice artwork
and presentation, Yvette.
-Notes are appreciated;
I am sure you are looking
forward to the end of the work week!
-The syllable count is good,
and the imagery is vivid.
-I like the first line with
a play on the word sync!
-You actually have a nice
progression of ideas as you
get to "the sparkling key"
and end with moonbeams!
-I understand it perfectly:)
-Good luck in the contest.

You are very welcome, Yvette. I was going to say in the review that since I understood "perfectly," what that said about me, ha, ha.

I can see why it was a crazy week, and you are tired. I cannot imagine taking on someone else's project, but given the situation, I would have helped out, too, as long as it was an English project! Kudos to you for doing it, my friend.

Hi Yvette,
I have a vision of you frantically working at your computer and hitting that sparkly key, and it suddenly sucking you in through the screen, into a world of fantasy and moonbeams. Wow, I hope I can find that special key on my pc.
What a wonderfully presented poem.
The picture and font colours are so inviting.
I loved it.

Most people enjoy following the sun - I've always been partial to moonbeams myself. They definitely take you to the fantastic places beautifully illustrated in your chosen artwork. Think I'll join you...

Now that was some dreamland you took the reader through in your poetic work! Like a trip down the rabbit hole. Fall asleep at the computer? LOL! I love it!! Beautiful artwork choice for your theme.

Now that is what I would call taking a "quantum jump" of faith! LOL! Maybe "reacting to matters" at hand. LOL! LOL! I'm sure she appreciated the science behind it all. LOL! Okay...enough of that, sorry. LOL!

There are so many people who read more into some things that were never meant to harm or hurt anyone. Every race and religion all have some things. So, we don't nosily get if there is

The art here is fantastic, and this line was worth reading three times: Find the sparkling key/of my soul's dreams,
This is quite the invitation, and it also inspires me to want to go back to drawing. Fun read.

You have clearly been in a numerical haze all week, and it has worked its way into your wonderful, free-flowing poem. You clearly want someone or something to take you away from that numerical haze. Give you some fantasy or some moon beams.
How's that for just going with it? I think your poem is creative as heck. You make my mind hurt.

I'm doing better. I went off to Florida for 10 days by myself. I worked on putting together 3 scrapbooks for each of my children. All Mom's precious photos are secure now. It was a good thing to do, and I'm lucky to have the time. I even managed to write that silly poem about bury me in shabby shoes. Trying to laugh a little and get over the images of her last few days.
