What a beautiful story. Her son spent all his money on that dress for her. That's the sort of thing parents do for kids all the time, but this time it's reversed, which makes it very special. :)

I love the way you have developed this story. The relationship between Joshua and his mother is sensitively portrayed through little asides like his previous homemade presents being so much treasured. The way you end the story is magnificent. It brings a tear to the eye.
