This is well done. The presentation sets it aside from the other acrostics. Your style is excellent and the rhymes are very creative. I notice you repeat the first line in each verse in succession of the first line, second line, third line and ending with the last line. This is effective and most conceivably, hard to do. You put a lot of effort into this poem and it shows. Well written, with a great review of why we poets write as we do.

What a refreshing piece of writing. A proper poem with good meter, perfect rhyming and excellent presentation. The acrostic is hard enough to do but you have chosen to repeat the first line in each of your stanzas. What a well thought out work of art.

I cannot remember when I have regretted more not having a six, because this is magnificent. Not only do we have an acrostic over sixteen lines, but we also have a perfectly maintained metre (iambic pentameter) rhyme scheme of alternate rhyme (abab etc.). That alone would probably merit six stars but there is more, as this is in the quaterne format that requires a repeated line to cascade down through each quatrain.
This must have taken a lot of thought and planning. This really does deserve to win and I so hope it does.
