Hello M. The narrative of the story was quite good and the dialogue is well-written. The story of the young girl and the conviction of her beliefs is explored in an interesting fashion while talking with a Bishop. Your script is very well done. Robert

This scene, Convictions, is very well paired with the precocious Grace and the open-minded and child-friendly bishop. Good talk.

The fact that Jesus foretold that one of them would betray Him and others deny him before the cock crowed in the morning always made me wonder if he had a choice in the matter. The others denied knowing him but were not punished. Well done, Melissa. Nancy:)

This is an interesting script. It is about how people continue to interpret scriptural events even centuries after they happened. I think it did a good job explaining two points or maybe three points of view. I like phrases such as "Sort of" that help show the character of Grace is younger. I thought something might come up about a prophecy that resembles Judas' actions in Psalm 41:9 (King James version), but it didn't. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much for your kind and supportive feedback. I am pleased you enjoyed this and grateful for your time. No, I try to avoid quoting scripture here as God's word gets bandied and mangled around enough as it is here :). If you give one verse to four people there will be four different interpretations which will often lead to the kind of controversy that paves a clear path toward outright conflict - I prefer to fly under the radar where it is safe.

This is great stuff. I suppose I did think that, as a 13-year-old, Grace has an excellent command of English but she is obviously a very deep thinker so I can go along with the dialogue. And the Bishop comes across as a very astute person too.

Thank you very much for the generous and uplifting encouragement of this piece. I am so pleased you enjoyed it as that is the whole reason I write - to bring a smile to another face and a little warmth in a cold world to another heart. I am more grateful than words can express for your kindness and support.

A Presbitiian preacher who taught predestination walked out of his church one winter morning and slipped on a patch of ice breaking his leg. He said, "Thank God that's over with."

This was absolutely great, it indeed showed the values of one's belief and the need for perserverence and diligence. It was wise of the Bishop to not only see the girl but listen to her needs with a keen interest. They were definitely words of truth.

Thanks very much for the kind support and encouragement. I think we'd find much peace and many more answers in this life if we simply took the time to listen.

Wow! What an amazing Grace! (I imagine that it is you - I think would be so spiritually wise beyond your years!) You touch on a theological topic that has divided churches and many learned scholars. Ultimately, between free will and Divine will is the perfect balance of His Grace!

One question:
"Monsignor or her church." (of?)

It was and I got into trouble for thinking before my First Communion too. The Bishop was very kind and there ismore to the story, but in the end he did affirm that I walked with the Lord and as long as I acted from that - I would always be okay as far as heaven was concerned. I carry that with me always :).

This cries out for 6 stars, but I am out. I have always felt compassion for Judas though the bible tells me he was wrong to have betrayed Jesus. I don't read the bible to literally and allow myself latitude in understanding it. I may be overstepping the line, but that is how I have always interpreted it.

I think sometimes, divine order compels us to do what we may no want to and that is what I feel happened to Judas. I pray for him to this day as without his act - none of us would be redeemed. I don't need the extra star :) as YOU are all the reward required.
