Aw, another lovely one. I think "mama" needs a capital as Nadia is referring to herself by a role-name, but apart from that, it's a wonderful homonym-based story...and could easily be true.

Thanx so much, my lady -- always so good to hear from you!! ;)
Please forgive my 'running behind' ... as mid-terms close in, my tutoring schedule has ballooned and my 'free time' has all but vanished! Exams are next week so there is a light at the end of the tunnel - LOL! :) A very Merry Christmas to you from my little corner of the world!! ;) Yvette

Mama got just what she wanted, that will teach her to specify. Stacy ingenuity and love. How could a mother do anything but laugh?

Hi there,

This is very nice indeed. I love a good play on words and this one works a treat. i have this sort of thing all the time given I haver a Northern Irish accent and my daughter has an English one so the words are hilarious to her! lol

It's a good piece on slowing down too. Nice
G

Ah, this is a charmer, Yvette. I am sure it will be on the leader board. It's a perfect post for the busy holiday season. It was the fairy wings and smeared lipstick that won me over. That child is adorable.
I hope lots of people have six stars to award this cute story. I'm fresh out and your story deserves it.

This is a cute story. I wasn't sure why Stayce ran out but it was very
clear when she brought the flower to her mother. How could the mother
be angry?

This is a cute and adorable story. I love the obvious play on words, "flour" and "flower" and how they can be misinterpreted, especially by a child. The story is well written, with a sure-footed ending. I felt the slight sarcasm in the author's notes detracted a little from the innocence of the clever story. Maybe it's because I never had children, but I like to see the positive side of kids to be pure. Lovely image from dreamstime stock photos. Thank you for sharing your talent for the cleverness of children.
Take care, Jesse

What a charmer this is Yvette, yes, children have mercurial charmer that can blast any game wide open, I can remember my mother in anger, running through all our names, with us imitating her, until her anger burst into laughter at the ridiculousness of it all. Well done, excellent entry, good luck, blessings, Roy

I enjoyed reading this brightly flavored short story. Kids can indeed be exasperating, but this tale reminds us of how literal and innocent they are too. A great read and a wonderful entry for this prompt.
