Hi Yvette. This is a very humorous story but it's what I would call a touching humorous story. The story is nicely written and as is necessary for very short stories the resolution occurred in the last two lines. Very well done and good luck in the contest. Z

Well, I think he did just what she asked. How was he to know what she meant? I love remembering the things my boys did when they were small, and this sounds just like something they would have done. lol.

I enjoyed this humorous flash fiction story about the play on words and how a little girl gets mixed up. I'm glad the mom laughed and slowed down to find some humor, because in real life sometimes that just doesn't happen. Thanks for the reminder.

Ha ha, overboard during a split second of madness then quickly followed by the old faithful life raft to help them once again remain afloat. A good parents work is never done : ))
Loved the cute as little story, the visuals were priceless and brought back many precious memories of my girls.

Well, this was adorable. Just like I wrote in my last poem, when you're not having to restrain yourself from wringing their precious little necks, children have the potential to be rather lovable. *smile*
I've read several of these 75-worders lately and so far, yours tops my list. Which may not be a good thing -- sorry. *frowny face* The CEC and I NEVER see eye to eye or agree on much of anything. So the fact that I like this may just spell doom for you.

Hey there - thanx for the catch -- fixed it! ;) :) Oh, and I gotta say as that blonde with the crazy scientific mind, there's no pattern/discernable aromas (if that makes sense) to the winners -- but, like I used to tell the kids with their art competitions: it's all subjective and throw into the mix the fact that they're folks with emotions that could be anywhere on any given day? Yeah, many times it's a roll of the dice - LOL!!!! ;) :) :) Seems I'm running a bit behind.... as mid-terms close in, my tutoring schedule has ballooned and my 'free time' has all but vanished! Exams are next week so there is a light at the end of the tunnel - LOL! :) A very Merry Christmas to you from my little corner of the world!! ;) Yvette

Good luck in the contest Yvette. This was indeed a great reminder for us all to take a moment to smell the flowers. It was a wonderful idea for
